We are looking for reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented Aged Care Cleaners to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, hygienic, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors in aged care facilities.

Time : 7 am to 3 pm

Key Responsibilities (Aged Care Cleaner)

- General cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, dining areas, corridors, common areas, and staff facilities.
- Cleaning and sanitising high-touch surfaces, including handrails, door handles, furniture, and shared equipment.
- Performing routine and deep cleaning in accordance with aged care hygiene and infection control standards.
- Vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, dusting, and floor maintenance.
- Cleaning and disinfecting toilets, showers, and other bathroom facilities.
- Waste collection and disposal, including appropriate handling of clinical and general waste.
- Replenishing consumables such as soap, hand sanitiser, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Operating cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and polishing machines.
- Following infection prevention and control procedures, including correct use of PPE and safe chemical handling.
- Reporting maintenance issues, hazards, damages, or infection control concerns.
- Completing daily cleaning checklists and maintaining accurate cleaning records.
- Respecting residents' privacy, dignity, and personal belongings while performing cleaning duties.

- Valid Visa / Proof of Working Rights in Australia
- Influenza Vaccination Evidence (as required by the facility)
- COVID-19 Vaccination Evidence (as required by the facility)
- Relevant aged care screening and compliance documentation

Qualifications and Experience

- Previous cleaning experience in aged care, healthcare, hospitals, or similar environments preferred.
- Knowledge of infection control, hygiene standards, and safe cleaning practices.
- Understanding of Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards.
- Valuable communication and interpersonal skills.
- Respectful, patient, and compassionate approach when working around elderly residents.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow cleaning schedules and instructions.
- Ability to perform physically demanding cleaning duties.
- Willingness to complete required training and site-specific inductions.
- Full working rights in Australia.

Work Workplace

- Working within residential aged care facilities, retirement living communities, and healthcare environments.
- Cleaning resident accommodation, shared living spaces, dining rooms, bathrooms, and public areas.
- Regular interaction with elderly residents, nursing staff, carers, and facility management.
- Use of commercial cleaning equipment, approved disinfectants, and cleaning chemicals.
- Strict adherence to infection prevention, resident safety, privacy, and WHS procedures.

Pay: $27.00 – $30.00 per hour
