Position: Cook - Full-Time Permanent (38 hours per week)

Location: Balwyn, Melbourne

Salary for the Position: $75.000/$80.000

Birichino Restaurant is seeking a highly experienced Cook with proven experience in a wide range of Italian cuisine.

We are an established company in Melbourne with a strong reputation in the industry.

We are located in the vibrant suburb of Balwyn in a very busy dining area.

We are seeking a professional and motivated individual with strong work ethics that align with the company culture.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited too:

​ Preparing, cooking and serving a wide variety of dishes according with the restaurant menu's recipe and personal judgement using the kitchen in collaboration with owner and other professionals.

​ Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs and ordering food supplies.

​ Responsible for monitoring food stocks and place orders.

​ Responsible to maintain the kitchen as a safe environment and with high level of cleanliness.

​ Working in pan grill and other hot and cold kitchen sections.

​ Monitoring and controlling food wastage and portion control on a daily basis.

​ Make sure that there is sufficient staff to ensure that food is provided to costumers in a timely manner.





​ Supervise and coordinate work of other staff members and train them to prepare food at a high standard.

​ Introduce other staff members to new cooking techniques.

​ Monitor client satisfaction related to quality of food.

​ Quality control of raw and cooked dishes to ensure that proper standards are met.

​ Determine how food should be presented.

Requirements

To be considered for this highly challenging yet exciting role we are looking for candidates that can illustrate a number of the following attributes:
