We’re looking for a reliable, energetic person who enjoys working with plants and food, works efficiently and maintains consistent quality. You’ll be part of a small team where your care and effort make a visible difference.

About the role

Your main focus will be harvesting and processing native herbs, with other nursery duties as required. Tasks include:

- Harvesting native herbs carefully and efficiently for fresh supply and drying.
- Sorting, trimming and checking harvested material for quality.
- Preparing and handling herbs through drying, processing, weighing and packaging.
- Keeping tools, equipment and food preparation areas clean and hygienic.
- Following instructions for food safety, product quality and safe work.
- Helping with propagation, potting, planting, weeding, fertilising and general plant maintenance.

What you’ll need

- Quick, accurate hands: comfortable with repetitive practical tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- A steady, productive work pace: able to stay focused and work efficiently throughout a shift.
- Capacity for physically demanding work: duties involve extended periods standing, bending, reaching, carrying and working on your feet.
- Comfort working outdoors:



including hot weather and wet or rainy conditions, following secure work practices.
- Reliability and initiative: arrive on time, follow instructions and notice what needs doing.
- Care for cleanliness and quality: take cleaning and hygiene as seriously as harvesting.
- A positive team approach: work well with others and independently once shown the task.

Experience in commercial harvesting, horticulture, food processing, packing or a busy kitchen would be valued. Practical ability, reliability and willingness to learn are just as important.

Location and availability

- Casual position, with shifts of up to eight hours.
- Work is performed in person in the Mundaring area, WA 6074.
- Applicants living in Mundaring or nearby Perth Hills suburbs are encouraged to apply.
- Your own reliable transport is preferred.
- You must have the right to work in Australia.
