POS / IT Technician – ABN Contractor | TAS

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for ABN Contractor POS / IT Technicians to join our growing Australia network, with opportunities available in:

- Tasmania

This role is ideal for someone with experience in the Australian hospitality or service industry, who has used POS systems and is interested in developing a career in IT.

You do not need to already be an experienced POS installer or IT technician. We provide training on POS installation, hardware, networking and technical support.

If you currently work in hospitality or another service-based industry and would like to move into IT, this is a great entry-level opportunity to build hands-on technical experience.

For strong-performing contractors, there may also be opportunities to progress into a permanent position in the future.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

You will work onsite at hospitality venues, client locations and events within your region.

Your responsibilities may include:

- Installing and setting up POS systems and related hardware
- Connecting and testing POS terminals,



printers, tablets and network equipment
- Providing onsite technical support to clients and venue staff
- Troubleshooting basic POS, hardware and network issues
- Assisting with Wi-Fi and network setup
- Preparing and testing equipment before deployment
- Working with our internal technical team to resolve technical issues
- Travelling to customer sites as required

Some work may take place outside standard business hours, including evenings and weekends.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOREssential

You must have:

- A valid Australian Business Number (ABN)
- Experience working in the hospitality or service industry in Australia
- Experience using a POS system
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- A practical and confident approach to problem solving
- A valid Australian driver's licence
- Your own reliable vehicle
- Full working rights in Australia
- Flexibility to travel to client sites and work evenings or weekends when required

Highly Regarded – But Not Essential

Technical experience is an advantage, particularly in:

- POS installation or technical support
- IT hardware installation
- Network troubleshooting and installation
- Wi-Fi, routers and switches




- Device and printer configuration

Previous IT experience is not essential, as technical training will be provided.
