About the opportunity

We are creating a new child and family therapy hub on the Fleurieu Peninsula and are looking for warm, values-aligned practitioners who may be interested in joining us from the beginning.

This is an opportunity to be part of a small, thoughtful and community-centred team supporting children, young people and families closer to home.

Many Fleurieu families are currently travelling to Adelaide to access psychological, family therapy and mental health support. We want to help change that by creating a calm, welcoming and professional space where families can access quality care locally.

The hub will be based in a beautiful coastal location on the Fleurieu Peninsula, with thoughtfully designed therapy rooms, front-of-house support and a strong focus on collaboration, warmth and community connection.

We are especially interested in connecting with practitioners who are passionate about working with children, young people, parents and families in a neuroaffirming, family-centred and trauma-informed way.

We would love to hear from:

- Psychologists
- Family therapists
- Social workers
- Counsellors
- Mental health clinicians
- Allied health practitioners with experience supporting children, young people or families

This may suit someone who is already working in Adelaide or the Fleurieu and would like to offer services locally either part time or full time, or someone looking to be part of a new and meaningful community-focused initiative.

The work may involve supporting families around

- Neurodivergence
- Anxiety
- ADHD
- Autism
- Emotional regulation
- Family therapy

- Parent support
- Psychology
- Assessment pathways
- Child and adolescent wellbeing
- School-related stress or family challenges

What we provide

- A calm, beautiful and welcoming therapy space
- Reception and front-of-house support
- Enquiry handling and client communication
- Marketing and local promotion of the hub
- Outreach to families, schools, GPs and community organisations
- Building relationships with local referral partners
- Developing referral pathways into the hub
- Community networking and relationship building
- A family-centred brand and values-led environment
- Flexible working arrangements
- The opportunity to be part of shaping the service from the beginning

Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for practitioners to walk in, do meaningful clinical work, and be supported by a robust local brand, front-of-house team and community referral network

About you

You may be a excellent fit if you are:

- Warm, compassionate and family-centred
- Neuroaffirming or interested in neuroaffirming practice
- Experienced or interested in working with children, young people and families
- Collaborative and community-minded
- Professional, reliable and thoughtful in your work

- Excited by the idea of helping build something meaningful for Fleurieu families
- Interested in working from the space 1–2 days per week

Remuneration

This is a flexible contractor opportunity based on a 50/50 revenue split.

The pay range listed reflects an estimated practitioner share per billable client session, based on expected session fees. It is not a salaried hourly role.

Practitioners who bring an existing caseload or referral pathway may be considered for a different arrangement.

Why join us

This is a chance to help create something genuinely needed in the community.

You will be joining at the beginning, which means there is an opportunity to help shape the culture, feel and direction of the hub.

Our vision is to create a place that feels safe, calm, professional and welcoming - for both families and practitioners.

A place where children, young people and parents feel understood.

A place where clinicians feel supported.

A place where local families can access care closer to home.

To express interest

If this sounds aligned, we would love to hear from you.

Please apply with a short introduction including:

- your background and qualifications
- the type of work you do
- your experience working with children, young people and families
- what interests you about supporting families on the Fleurieu Peninsula
- your likely availability and when you may be available to start

Pay: $90.00 – $120.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4.0 – 38.0 per week
