Como Sociale is a brand-new Italian restaurant coming to Ballarat, and we're looking for passionate hospitality professionals to join our kitchen team as we get ready for opening.

HEAD CHEF – $80000–$90000 + Super
We're looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen and help establish the food direction for Como Sociale.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Leading and managing the kitchen team
- Preparing and executing a contemporary Italian menu
- Maintaining high food quality and presentation standards
- Menu preparation and recipe development
- Food costing, ordering and stock control
- Managing food and labour costs
- Rostering and training kitchen staff
- Ensuring food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
- Maintaining consistency during busy service
- Working closely with management to develop specials and seasonal menus
What we're looking for:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior chef/head chef role
- Strong Italian or modern European cuisine experience preferred
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong understanding of food costing and kitchen operations
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy restaurant environment
- Passion for quality food and presentation
- Reliable, organised and hands-on approach
Salary: $80000–$90000 + superannuation, depending on experience.
Visa sponsorship may be available for the right applicant, subject to skills, experience and eligibility.
Experience with Italian cuisine is highly regarded, but we're also happy to train the right candidates.
