The role
We’re looking for a caring, reliable support worker to provide overnight support for an older woman in Hornsby Heights.
What you’ll do
- Provide personal care, including toileting, showering and dressing, with dignity and respect
- Support her through the night, including repositioning and settling.
- Help with evening and morning routines
- Follow her support plan and write explicit shift notes after every shift
About you
- Patient, calm, compassionate and comfortable working alone overnight
- A nursing or care background is strongly preferred (for example Enrolled Nurse, Assistant in Nursing, or Certificate III or IV in Individual Support), but experience and the right attitude count too
- Confident with personal care and manual handling
- Reliable and consistent,
because our participants count on seeing the same person
Requirements
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one
- Current First Aid and CPR
- A police check
- A full driver’s licence and your own reliable car
- Australian work rights
- The NDIS Worker Orientation Module (free online), or willingness to complete it
