Banana Home is looking for a motivated, self-driven and results-focused Showroom Sales Assistant with strong sales and customer service skills. The successful candidate will be confident in approaching customers, building relationships, understanding their needs and, most importantly, closing sales.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome customers and provide exceptional, personalised service.
- Proactively engage with customers and identify sales opportunities.
- Confidently present and sell sofas, modular lounges, ottomans and other furniture products.
- Build customer relationships, overcome objections and close sales.
- Work towards individual and showroom sales targets.
- Maintain strong product knowledge, including fabrics, colours, configurations and pricing.
- Prepare quotes, process orders and payments, and ensure all customer details are accurate.
- Follow up on customer enquiries and outstanding sales opportunities.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and professionally presented showroom.
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve sales objectives.
- Handle customer enquiries professionally and liaise with customer service and logistics when required.

Skills & Experience

- Previous sales or retail experience,



preferably in furniture or homewares.
- Strong sales-closing and negotiation skills.
- Self-driven, proactive and motivated to achieve targets.
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Results-oriented with the ability to turn enquiries into sales.
- Well-organised with strong attention to detail.
- Qualified, reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Available to work weekends as required.

The successful candidate must be a sales closer who takes initiative, actively seeks opportunities and is motivated by achieving results. They will be expected to deliver excellent customer service while maximising sales opportunities and contributing to the overall success of Banana Home.

Pay: From $34.76 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10.0 per week
