We are seeking an Early Childhood Teacher to lead our Kindergarten program, bringing thoughtful teaching and fresh ideas to our Montessori-informed approach.

About the opportunity

This position is initially offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract. We welcome applicants interested in building a longer-term career with A Country Garden and would be open to discussing permanent opportunities should suitable positions become available.

Your role





Working alongside our educators and leadership team, you will:

- Lead an engaging, inclusive Kindergarten program guided by the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and Early Years Learning Framework.
- Create purposeful experiences that respond to children’s interests, strengths and natural curiosity.
- Encourage independence, confidence, problem-solving and a lasting enthusiasm for learning.
- Build warm, trusting relationships with children and respectful partnerships with families.
- Observe, assess and document children’s learning to inform your teaching and celebrate their progress.
- Support children’s wellbeing, friendships and transition to school.
- Guide and collaborate with educators to create a consistent, nurturing learning environment.
- Contribute to quality improvement and maintain a strong commitment to child safety.

What you’ll bring

- An ACECQA-approved early childhood teaching qualification.
- A sound understanding of the EYLF, QKLG and National Quality Standard.
- A warm, respectful teaching approach that values each child as an individual.
- Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to inclusive practice and child safety.
- The relevant clearances and current first aid qualifications required for the role.

Montessori experience is welcome, but not essential. We value an interest in our philosophy, a willingness to learn and the professional knowledge you bring.
