About the Role

Smarte Carte is seeking a friendly, customer-focused and reliable Casual Customer Service Representative to join our team at Perth International Airport.

Working across our HEYS Luggage retail store and Smarte Carte baggage wrapping and storage operations, you will play an important role in providing travellers with a positive and seamless airport experience.

This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys interacting with people, working in a fast-paced environment and delivering excellent customer service. From assisting customers with their luggage needs and retail purchases to managing baggage wrapping and storage services, no two customer interactions are the same.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver friendly, professional and helpful customer service to travellers and members of the public.
- Assist customers with luggage purchases, baggage wrapping, baggage storage and general enquiries.
- Process sales and customer transactions accurately using POS systems, EFTPOS and cash handling procedures.
- Operate baggage wrapping equipment and follow all relevant safety and operating procedures.
- Process baggage storage transactions in accordance with company procedures and security requirements.
- Maintain attractive retail displays, replenish stock and keep work areas clean, tidy and organised.
- Answer telephone calls and respond to customer enquiries as required.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures, including safe manual handling practices.
- Complete daily paperwork, transaction records and end-of-shift reconciliations accurately.
- Report hazards, incidents, equipment issues and property damage in accordance with company procedures.
- Follow airport security requirements and company policies at all times.




- Assist with other operational duties as required, following appropriate training.

Previous retail or customer service experience is desirable. Experience in an airport, luggage retail, baggage handling or similar customer-facing environment will be an advantage.

Pay: $34.00 – $50.00 per hour
