About the Role

We are seeking reliable, compassionate, motivated and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our growing team.

This role is ideal for experienced support workers, nursing students, and individuals studying or holding qualifications in Disability Support, Individual Support or Community Services.

We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, demonstrate professionalism and genuinely care about the wellbeing of others.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist participants with personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming and toileting.
- Support daily living activities, including meal preparation, cleaning and household tasks.
- Assist with mobility, transfers and hoist equipment where trained and authorised.
- Provide community access, transport and support with appointments and recreational activities.
- Assist with medication prompting or administration in accordance with training, authorisation and care plans.
- Support participants with complex needs and behaviours of concern using positive behaviour support strategies.
- Encourage independence, dignity and participant choice.
- Maintain accurate progress notes and report incidents or changes in participants' conditions.
- Communicate professionally with participants, families and team members.
- Follow individual care plans, NDIS requirements and workplace policies.





Essential Requirements

- Genuine passion for supporting people living with disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid reliability, punctuality and commitment to rostered shifts.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, where required for the role.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain before commencing relevant duties.
- Valid driver's licence and access to reliable transport where required.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to complete mandatory training and follow participant care plans.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability).
- Diploma of Community Services or related qualifications.
- Currently studying a Bachelor of Nursing or another relevant healthcare qualification.
- Previous experience in disability support, aged care or healthcare.
- Experience with manual handling, hoist transfers, complex personal care or behaviours of concern.
