About the Role

Little VIPs Child Care & Early Learning Centre and VIPs Club House are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated trainee childcare educator to join our team in Lynwood, WA.

This part-time position offers an exciting opportunity for someone looking to begin their career in the childcare industry while working towards a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

What makes this traineeship unique?

Unlike many traditional childcare traineeships, this position offers the opportunity to work across both of our services, gaining valuable hands-on experience with children of all ages.

- Little VIPs Child Care & Early Learning Centre: Caring for and educating children aged 0–5 years.
- VIPs Club House: Providing before-school, after-school and vacation care for children aged 6–12 years.

Working across both centres will allow you to develop a broad understanding of children's learning, development and individual needs, from infancy through to primary school age.

You will work alongside experienced educators who will provide guidance, mentoring and support throughout your traineeship.

This is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn, build your confidence and gain practical experience in two different childcare environments.

Key Responsibilities

As a trainee childcare educator, your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting qualified educators in providing age-appropriate care, supervision and educational experiences for children aged 0–12 years.
- Supporting the implementation of educational programs and play-based learning experiences.
- Working across both Little VIPs and VIPs Club House to gain experience with different age groups.
- Helping maintain a clean, safe, welcoming and engaging environment for children and families.
- Assisting with daily care routines, including feeding, nappy changing, toileting and rest times where appropriate.
- Supporting school-aged children during before-school, after-school and vacation care activities.
- Encouraging children's independence, confidence, social skills and emotional development.
- Building positive and respectful relationships with children, families and fellow educators.




- Supporting children's interests through creative, engaging and meaningful learning experiences.
- Following all centre policies, procedures and child safety requirements.
- Participating in ongoing training and professional development throughout your traineeship.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children and eager to learn.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

- A genuine interest in working with children of all ages.
- A positive, friendly, caring and enthusiastic attitude.
- A willingness to undertake a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care traineeship.
- A current Western Australian Working with Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain one.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy and a nurturing approach towards children.
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
- The ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A willingness to learn new skills and take on different responsibilities.
- A commitment to providing a safe and supportive workplace for all children.
