BAKE'D Sydney is looking for a talented and experienced Cake Decorator / Dessert Maker to join our team at our new Broadmeadows location.
We are seeking someone creative, passionate about desserts and confident in preparing, assembling and decorating a variety of cakes and desserts to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake sponge cake slabs for a variety of desserts.
- Assemble, fill and decorate cakes and individual desserts.
- Prepare cake fillings, creams, ganache, toppings and sauces.
- Produce consistent, high-quality cakes and desserts following recipes and presentation standards.
- Cut, portion and finish cake slabs for display and service.
- Assist with developing new dessert ideas and presentations.
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality and appearance.
- Ensure proper storage, stock rotation and food safety compliance.
- Maintain a clean and organised pastry preparation area.
- Work efficiently to meet daily production requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in cake decorating, dessert preparation or pastry production.
- Strong experience making sponge cake slabs and assembling layered desserts.
- Excellent cake decorating and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of different creams, fillings and dessert techniques.
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent quality.
- Good time management and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A creative mindset and passion for cakes and desserts.
