Casual Disability Support Workers (Community & In-Home Care)

At Caring Supports for You, we’re passionate about empowering individuals to live independently and achieve their goals. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for flexible and reliable casual support workers to join our team as floaters across our community and in-home supports.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, can adapt quickly, and is confident supporting participants in their own homes and out in the community.

About the Role

As a casual floater, you’ll provide support across a range of community and in-home settings. You’ll step in to cover shifts as needed, supporting different participants with varying needs and goals.

No two days are the same, you’ll need to be adaptable, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred support.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Supporting participants in their homes with daily living tasks (meal prep, light domestic duties, personal care if required)
- Assisting with community access (appointments, shopping, social activities)
- Promoting independence and supporting participants to achieve their goals
- Following care plans and behaviour support strategies
- Completing clear and accurate shift notes




- Building positive relationships with participants and their support networks
- Stepping into shifts at short notice

What We’re Looking For

- Experience in disability or community support (highly desirable)
- Confidence working independently in community settings
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to different participants and environments
- Reliability, flexibility, and a positive attitude
- A genuine passion for supporting others

Essential Requirements

- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Formal qualifications (Certificate III and above)
- Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
- Current Police Check
- Full working rights in Australia

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $32.00 – $43.00 per hour

Education:

- Certificate I - IV (Preferred)

Experience:

- Working with people with disability: 2 years (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
