Skye Excavations | Melbourne & Mornington Peninsula

Skye Excavations is seeking a reliable, experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team, operating a range of plant and equipment across Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula.

The role involves:

- Operating excavators - Experience with other equipment such as dozers, bobcats, or positracs is also highly regarded but not essential.
- Using attachments including rock breakers, augers, grabs and rippers.
- Completing daily pre-start checks, routine maintenance and submission of accurately completed and signed dockets.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and well-presented machine.
- Working independently and professionally with co-workers, clients and site personnel.

To be successful, you will have:

- Proven experience operating heavy equipment
- OH&S; induction card, licences etc.
- A strong commitment to the job, including following safety and site procedures.
- Valuable communication skills, punctuality, reliability and initiative.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team- A 'Can-Do' attitude is a must!




- A current driver’s licence - the ability to float machinery is highly regarded but not essential.
- The physical ability to undertake manual tasks when required.
- PPE - Steel toe capped boots, safety glasses, hard hat, hi vis long sleeved top.

Hours: Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays required. Early starts and travel to various job sites are part of the role.
