Kalye Marinas is known for bold grilled dishes, fresh seafood, and our signature seafood boil experience, traditional Filipino favourites reimagined with a contemporary touch. We're looking for an experienced, passionate Chef to join our Ashburton kitchen full-time.

About the Role
You'll take ownership of preparing and cooking our Filipino, Asian, grill and seafood menu, from grilled meats and seafood to soups, stews and sharing plates, while helping shape the dishes we serve next.

What You'll Do

- Prepare and cook menu items to recipe, presentation and portion standards, with consistency across every service
- Prepare sauces, marinades and other kitchen components from scratch
- Contribute to menu planning and dish development
- Monitor food quality, freshness and portion control
- Assist with stock control, ordering, receiving supplies, and minimizing food wastage
- Maintain food safety, hygiene and WHS standards at all times
- Train and support cooks and kitchen staff,



and coordinate the kitchen during busy service
- Work closely with front-of-house to keep service running smoothly and on time

What You'll Bring

- At least 1 year of experience in a similar Chef role
- A qualification in Commercial Cookery or Hospitality
- Experience with Filipino, Asian, seafood and/or grill cuisine (highly regarded)
- Confidence working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
- Strong food safety and WHS knowledge
- Great time management, reliability and a proactive attitude
- A team player with clear communication and a positive, approachable manner

Pay: $79,500.00 – $82,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ashburton VIC 3147: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

- Chef: 1 year (Preferred)
