Melbourne on the South Gippsland Highway in rural Victoria. Yarram is 73 kilometers south west of
Sale and 62 kilometers south east of Traralgon.

What’s on offer

The Director Corporate Services is a senior executive position responsible for the leadership,
performance and governance of YDHS's corporate functions.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and operating as a member of the Executive
Leadership Team, the Director provides strategic and operational leadership across:

- Finance and financial management;
- Human Resources;
- Corporate governance;
- Enterprise risk and compliance;
- Procurement and contract management;
- Corporate quality and assurance;
- Information and communications technology governance;
- Corporate administration;
- Asset, property and facilities governance; and
- Other corporate functions allocated by the Chief Executive Officer.

The Director Corporate Services provides high-level advice and assurance to the CEO and supports
the Board and its Committees through accurate, timely and transparent corporate reporting.





A central expectation of the position is ownership and accountability. The Director is expected to
identify emerging issues, assess risk, provide solutions and ensure matters within the Directorate are
effectively managed rather than simply escalated.

The position requires a leader who can combine strategic thinking with practical execution and who
understands the governance and resource challenges of operating a contemporary rural health
service.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will need:

- A relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, business, commerce, management,

human resources, governance or a related discipline.
- Significant senior management or executive leadership experience within a complex

organisation.

YARRAM + DISTRICT HEALTH SERVICE

- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary corporate functions.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Demonstrated understanding of corporate governance, risk management and internal control

environments.

- Strong understanding of contemporary HR management, industrial relations and employment

practices.

- Experience managing organisational compliance and assurance.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality strategic advice to senior executives and boards.
- Experience leading organisational change and continuous improvement.
- Highly developed analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capability.




- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated integrity, judgement and professional accountability.

YDHS is responsible for employing and contracting to employees who meet stringent community and
public sector expectations. Applicants shall be required to provide and maintain:

- An original National Police Record Check completed within the last twelve (12) months prior

to commencement.
- An NDIS Workers Screening Check
- An employee Working with Children Check.
- Relevant skilled registrations.
- Complete a Pre-existing injury declaration form.
- Undergo any other relevant checks, education or licencing as directed at own cost.
