Do you enjoy talking with people and finding out what makes their business tick? We’re looking for a friendly, curious Sales Development Representative to join our small Brisbane team.

Defy IT is a Brisbane managed IT services provider, looking after small and medium sized businesses across legal, healthcare, accounting and skilled services. Afford IT Business is our sister brand, offering dependable IT support to smaller businesses at a price that works for them. We’re growing, and you’d work directly with our founder.

The role
You’ll be the first friendly voice most prospects hear from us. You’ll open conversations with small businesses, work out whether we can genuinely help, and book discovery calls with our Managing Director, who takes it from there.

What you’ll do

- Research prospects and reach out by phone, email and LinkedIn
- Follow up on inbound enquiries promptly and warmly
- Qualify opportunities and book discovery calls with clear notes
- Keep our CRM accurate and follow up on time




- Share what’s working (and what isn’t) so we can keep improving

About you

- Based in Brisbane, with the right to work in Australia
- Clear, friendly spoken and written communication
- Comfortable making first-contact calls, and resilient when the answer is no
- Organised, with good follow-up habits
- Interested in technology and able to explain it in plain English (no deep technical background needed)

Experience in outbound sales, appointment setting or IT services is a bonus, but attitude counts for more.
