About the role

Integrated Dental Health is seeking a Dental Assistant/Reception to join our team on a permanent casual basis. This is a versatile role based in Katoomba, NSW, where you will provide essential support to our dental practice by working flexibly across both clinical and administrative functions. You will be a key member of our team, contributing to the smooth operation of our practice and helping to deliver exceptional patient care and experience.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting dentists during clinical procedures and treatments, including instrument passing and patient positioning

- Maintaining a clean and sterile surgical environment, including instrument sterilisation and infection control protocols

- Recording patient treatment information and updating patient records accurately

- Greeting patients and welcoming them into the practice with professionalism and warmth

- Managing reception duties, including scheduling appointments and handling phone enquiries

- Processing patient payments and managing billing procedures

- Providing patients with pre and post-treatment advice and instructions

- Stocking and ordering dental supplies and materials as required

- Supporting the dentist and wider team to ensure a smooth, organised clinical environment

What we're looking for

- Previous experience as a dental assistant or in a dental reception role is preferred but not essential

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients and team members

- Solid organisational and time management abilities

- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and sterilisation procedures





- Computer literacy and familiarity with dental practice management software (or ability to learn quickly)

- A genuine passion for providing quality patient care and support

- Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work in a casual capacity

- Current immunisations or willingness to obtain them as per dental practice requirements

- Desirable: certification in dental assisting or reception, or relevant hospitality or customer service experience
