ABOUT THE ROLE

You'll join our drafting team and work alongside our senior engineers and designers. Your day-to-day work will include:

- Drafting of detailed hydraulic engineering plans for residential, commercial and industrial buildings.

- Creating plan backgrounds from architectural drawings.

- Turning sketches from our senior design engineers into clear drawings for clients and contractors.

- Drafting water supply, sanitary drainage, stormwater, fire services and other specialist hydraulic systems.

- Reviewing completed drawings for quality.

CAREER PATH

Hydraulic services is a specialised feild with solid long-term propsects. Whilst this job opportunity is for a draftsperson position, we do offer a pathway to hydraulic services design:

Draftsperson -> Design Draftsperson -> Junior Hydraulic Designer -> Hydraulic Designer

We will support you to move through each stage as your skills, experience, and knowledge grow.
Moving into a design role is entirely your choice- if you would prefer to build your career as a specialised draftsperson, that is a path that is also valued at PFCA. There is no requirement to move from drafting to design.

ABOUT YOU

We welcome applicants at any stange of their career. You might be:

- An experienced draftsperson looking for a stable, long-term position.

- A plumber with hydraulic knowledge ready to move off the tools.

- A graduate or newcomer to drafting with a drafting certificate, an engineering or related qualification,



or a strong interested in the contruction/engineering industry.

What matters most is that you:

- Have a good understanding of AutoCAD (Revit experience is preferred, but not essential)

- Have a positive attitude and a keen interest in learning hydraulic services.

- Manage your time well and are capable of meeting deadlines.

- Want to be a part of an in-office team and learn from those around you.

SALARY
The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $90,000 per year (plus superannuation) and is dependent on the skills, software proficiency, and industry experience of the applicant. As your skills and experience develop, your salary will be increased accordingly.

LOCATION AND ELIGIBILITY

The position is a work in office position in Charlestown, NSW. Only applicants who currently live in Australia, are situated or prepared to move near to our office and hold an appropriate work visa will be considered.
