About the role

Entegra Group is seeking Senior Tax & Business Services Accountants (CA/CPA) to join our growing team in Hervey Bay and Beerwah, Queensland. This is a full-time position that offers a fantastic opportunity to leverage your professional accounting qualifications and expertise in a dynamic shared services environment. You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality tax and business services to our clients, whilst contributing to the strategic growth of our organisation. There are roles available in Hervey Bay QLD 4655 and Beerwah QLD 4519 and they offer the chance to work with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and companies, ensuring compliance with current tax legislation and Australian Taxation Office requirements

- Provide strategic tax planning advice to clients, identifying opportunities for tax minimisation and financial optimisation

- Conduct tax audits and assist clients with Australian Taxation Office correspondence and disputes

- Manage business advisory services including financial analysis, business structuring advice, and performance reporting

- Oversee the work of junior accounting staff, providing mentoring, coaching and quality assurance on deliverables

- Maintain and develop strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for assigned clients

- Stay current with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards, ensuring the team remains compliant and informed

- Contribute to the development and improvement of service delivery processes and systems within the shared services team

- Prepare financial statements and accounting reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards

- Support the delivery of specialized business services including superannuation advice, self-managed super fund compliance, and entity structuring

What we're looking for





- Current membership with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) or CPA Australia, demonstrating professional qualification and ongoing commitment to the accounting profession

- Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in tax accounting, with a strong track record of managing complex tax matters

- Extensive knowledge of Australian tax law, including income tax, goods and services tax, and payroll tax compliance

- Proficiency with cloud-based accounting software and tax preparation tools commonly used in Australian practice

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify tax-effective solutions for diverse client scenarios

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients in a clear and understandable manner

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client portfolios and meet tight deadlines, particularly during peak tax periods

- Leadership experience or strong supervisory capability, with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members

- A commitment to professional development and staying current with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards

- Experience in a shared services or outsourced accounting environment is highly desirable

- Knowledge of business advisory services and financial planning would be advantageous
