About the role

Royal Canberra Golf Club is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused F&B; Attendants / Café All-Rounders to join our hospitality team on a part-time basis. Based at our beautiful venue in Yarralumla, ACT 2600, this role is pivotal in delivering exceptional service to our members and guests across our food and beverage operations. You will be at the forefront of the member experience, ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to excellence and hospitality. What you'll be doing

- Providing attentive and professional service to members and guests in the café and dining areas

- Taking orders accurately and efficiently, with comprehensive knowledge of menu items and available beverages

- Delivering food and beverages promptly whilst maintaining high standards of presentation

- Clearing and resetting tables with attention to detail and efficiency

- Operating the café counter and serving hot and cold beverages to a high standard

- Processing payments using point-of-sale systems and handling cash with accuracy

- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout service areas in accordance with health and safety regulations

- Responding to member requests with genuine warmth and professionalism, resolving any concerns promptly

- Supporting the broader F&B; team during service peaks and special events

- Contributing to stock rotation and assisting with basic food preparation tasks as required

- Building positive relationships with regular members to enhance their experience at the Club

What we're looking for

- Previous experience in waiting, café service, or hospitality roles within restaurants, cafés, or similar venues

- Barista skills preferred

- Excellent customer service skills with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding member experiences

- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a team environment





- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and presentation standards

- Reliability and professionalism, with the flexibility to work part-time shifts including weekends and public holidays

- Basic numeracy skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems (training provided if necessary)

- Food safety and hygiene certification or willingness to obtain this qualification

- A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure

- Knowledge of golf club culture and member service expectations is advantageous
