What you’ll do
The Project Manager serves as the single point of operational accountability and leadership for the end-to-end execution of complex prefabricated and integrated solutions contracts/programs. The primary function of this role is to drive integrated electrical packages -- spanning design engineering, third-party fabrication/packaging, factory testing, logistics, and site delivery -- from contract handover through final acceptance, ensuring complete alignment with contract scope, schedule, budget, quality standards, and customer expectations.
The Project Manager is responsible as the critical bridge between commercial commitments and operational execution -- coordinating multidisciplinary internal teams (engineering, supply chain, finance, commercial operations) while actively managing partner fabricators, equipment vendors, and external client stakeholders to mitigate delivery risks and protect commercial margins.
1. Deliver prefabricated and integrated packaged projects in accordance with the Project Management Office Delivery Model.
2. Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex integrated assemblies, including factory-built enclosures, switchrooms, skid-mounted substations, and multi-vendor electrical packages.
3. Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Provide day-to-day leadership, workload allocation, and professional mentorship for direct project team reports, such as Project Engineers and Project Coordinators. Drive accountability and conduct regular performance feedback, capability development, and technical coaching for junior project delivery staff.
5. Direct and influence cross-functional indirect project team members, including Document Controllers, Application/Design Engineers, Site Resources, and third-party partner teams.
6. Review contractual obligations, bank guarantees,
and commercial time bars to protect commercial position and ensure strict compliance.
7. Coordinate multidisciplinary internal teams alongside third-party structural fabricators, equipment packagers, and original equipment manufacturers.
8. Develop detailed baseline schedules integrating equipment manufacturing/testing, external fabrication milestones, factory equipment fit-out, internal testing, and site delivery windows. Continuously track progress and provide fortnightly status reports.
9. Review engineering designs and technical gap analyses early to resolve electrical, mechanical, and structural layout clashes or miscoordination before fabrication begins.
10. Manage change requests, scope variations, and cost impacts proactively across both customer contracts and subcontractor purchase agreements. Convert commercial and technical gaps to opportunities.
11. Meet project financial targets through monthly cost-to-complete reviews, end of month revenue recognition processes, milestone invoice billing, and weekly revenue and margin forecasting.
12. Oversee third-party factory production milestones, vendor expediting, and integrated package inspections.
13. Lead the planning and execution of comprehensive Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and integrated function testing before dispatch, as well as Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and Commissioning, where applicable.
14. Coordinate oversize transport, specialized lifting studies, and complex site logistics to ensure on-time delivery to project sites.
15. Supervise site installation support,
site interface handovers, and final operational readiness reviews with client site teams.
16. Enforce rigorous workplace health, safety, and environmental standards across all facets of manufacturing and delivery -- equipment manufacturing locations, external fabrication yards, testing locations, and customer sites.
17. Manage comprehensive final documentation turnover packages as required by contract, often including As-built documentation, Testing Reports, Compliance Certificates, and Operation & Maintenance Manuals.
18. Capture lessons learned across prefabricated package designs and vendor execution to continuously optimize standardization and build cycles.
