Excellent opportunity for an experienced People & Culture Advisor to join a well-established organisation operating within a fast-paced, operational environment.

This is a 12 month parental leave contract that will suit a confident HR generalist who enjoys being close to the business, supporting operational leaders and providing practical advice across the full employee lifecycle. The position reports directly to the General Manager - People & Culture.

The Role
Working closely with leaders, supervisors and employees, you will provide hands on People & Culture support across a broad range of operational HR matters. You'll be a trusted point of contact for the business, providing pragmatic advice and ensuring people matters are handled consistently, fairly and in line with relevant legislation and company policies.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Providing generalist HR advice across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, probation, transfers, promotions and exits.
- Managing employee relations matters, including performance management, investigations, grievances and misconduct.
- Interpreting and applying Awards, employment legislation and internal policies.
- Coaching and supporting leaders to manage employee matters confidently and consistently.
- Supporting organisational change, including restructures, roster or shift changes and relocations.
- Assisting with consultation, communication and employee transition activities associated with workplace change.




- Coordinating cyclical P&C; activities including performance and development reviews, remuneration discussions and workforce planning.
- Reporting on workforce information including turnover, absenteeism and ER trends.
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, training and capability development initiatives.
- Contributing to employee engagement, recognition and broader workplace culture initiatives.

About You
You will be an experienced People & Culture professional who is comfortable operating in a practical, hands on workplace and partnering closely with operational stakeholders.

Ideally, you will bring:

- Generalist HR/ER experience within manufacturing, heavy industry or another operational environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, Awards and Australian employment legislation.
- Experience supporting leaders through performance, conduct, workplace change and broader workforce challenges.
- The ability to build trusted relationships with employees, frontline leaders and senior stakeholders.
