Job Summary

Hyegrove is seeking an experienced Food Services Assistant to join our hospitality team on a Part Time basis. In this fast-paced and varied environment you will take pride in your work, have a friendly and positive work attitude and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

The role involves:

- Work closely with the catering team and the Head Chef to provide high quality catering services for residents and their visitors

- Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly

- Maintain a clean, efficient, and professional work workplace; dishwashing and cleaning the kitchen, equipment and dining areas

- Serve residents meals and snacks ensuring that the correct meals are served to residents with special dietary needs

- Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting a professional and positive team culture.

- Following meal reports and work schedules





- Build strong and productive relationships with your team to deliver a positive dining experience

About you:

- Strong attention to detail and effective organisational skills to support timely and accurate meal service.

- Basic Food Safety qualification (required – must be current or obtained within 1 month of joining)

- Your demonstrated compassion and empathy. Our teams have a passion for what they do and the impact they make to our residents and their families.

- Your excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to ensure the best possible resident experience and teamwork

- Ability to contribute to a positive dining experience, including meal presentation, resident engagement, and maintaining cleanliness of the servery and dining areas.

- Sound knowledge of food safety standards, including safe food handling, storage, and infection control practices
