COLLECTIONS OFFICER

Join an industry leader in construction and insurance repair with a strong presence across Australia and New Zealand. This multi-entity business works with major insurers nationwide and is building out its finance function to support group expansion.

You will be the dedicated collections resource to build the process, manage relationships with insurers and loss adjusters, and prove the value of proactive collections. Your mornings are bank reconciliation across all entities. The rest of your day is outbound calls, stakeholder negotiation, and moving stalled invoices. The role reports to the AR Team Leader and sits within a finance function that is scaling to support group expansion.

What your day looks like:

Mornings start with bank reconciliations across all entities and accurately applying payments to the AR ledger. Volume varies, with heavier days after weekends and public holidays. The rest of your day is proactive collections: a high volume of email correspondence, phone follow-ups, and working with insurers,



loss adjusters and stakeholders to move stalled invoices. You'll work across an ERP and several insurer portals to track claims, invoices and payment status. This role suits someone who is just as comfortable with accuracy and systems as they are with conversations. You'll need the judgement to know when to push and when to protect a long-term relationship.

What you need:

- Proven experience in collections, ideally with an accounts receivable or finance administration background
- Meticulous and organised, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills and comfort working across multiple entities in a high-volume workplace.
- Tech-savvy and system-fluent, with the ability to quickly learn an ERP and multiple portals
- Right to work in Australia.
