Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and effective Kitchen Steward to join our team in Sofitel Brisbane Central. As a Kitchen Steward, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation of our kitchen facilities, ensuring a smooth and secure operation for our culinary team.
Clean and sanitise all kitchen areas, including floors, walls, and work surfaces, adhering to established cleaning schedules and food safety standards
Wash, sanitise, and properly store all kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and glassware using industrial dishwashers or hand-washing techniques as appropriate
Assist in the maintenance of food storage areas, including refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage,



ensuring proper organisation and cleanliness
Remove and dispose of kitchen waste regularly, keeping the kitchen and waste areas free from refuse
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, reporting any hazards or maintenance issues to the Kitchen Management
Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an efficient and organised work workplace
Participate in regular cleaning inspections and quality control checks
Adapt to changing priorities and assist with additional kitchen duties as required.
