About the role

Heyfield Railway Hotel is seeking an experienced Chef/Cook to join our talented culinary team. This role is located in Heyfield, Victoria and plays a key part in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Key responsibilities
Preparing high-quality, creative meals in a rapid-paced kitchen environment
Collaborating with the Head Chef to develop current menu items and improve existing dishes
Ensuring all food preparation and cooking tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards
Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen
Providing excellent customer service and responding promptly to guest requests
Assisting with inventory management and ordering of kitchen supplies
Adhering to all relevant food safety and workplace health and safety regulations

About you
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef/Cook in a similar hospitality setting




Formal culinary training or qualifications (e.g. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery)
Excellent knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety practices
Strong time management and multitasking abilities to thrive in a busy kitchen
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive work culture
Passion for creating delicious, high-quality meals and enhancing the dining experience
