About our client

Our client is a well-established private owner, operator and developer of retirement communities across Current South Wales, Queensland and South Australia. They offer independent living alongside in-home support and on-site care, and they're growing, with recent communities in development.

They're looking for an experienced cook to join the team at their Albury village on a casual basis.

The role

You'll be the village's in-house cook, preparing nutritious, good-quality meals for residents. You'll report to the Village Manager.
Planning and cooking daily meals, including for residents with special dietary needs
Helping with stocktakes, food orders and costing
Keeping to food handling and health and safety requirements
Catering for events and functions within the village
Respecting resident privacy and confidentiality

Hours
Every second Saturday and Sunday, 10am–2pm
Every second Wednesday, 10am–6.30pm
Extra shifts are available to cover leave





What you'll need
Experience in a similar role, ideally in aged care, retirement living or healthcare catering
Experience preparing meals for elderly residents with special dietary needs
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or other formal chef/cook training
A current Food Handling Certificate
A National Police Check, First Aid and CPR (or the ability to get them)
Valuable availability across weekdays and weekends (weekends are essential)
The ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing
