With a robust pipeline of work, we are looking for an experienced Distribution Lines Estimator to join our team in Perth.About the RoleWorking as part of the Estimating and Pre Contracts team, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and commercially competitive estimates for distribution line projects.This role will suit an experienced Estimator with a strong understanding of electrical distribution infrastructure who can confidently interpret project scopes, drawings and specifications and develop detailed project pricing.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed estimates and pricing for distribution line projectsReview tender documentation, scopes, drawings, specifications and project requirementsComplete quantity take offs and develop bills of quantitiesPrepare labour, plant, material and subcontractor cost estimatesObtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotationsDevelop detailed and accurate tender pricing within required timeframesIdentify project risks, exclusions, assumptions and opportunitiesWork closely with Project Managers, Engineers,



Supervisors and internal stakeholders to develop accurate estimatesReview and analyse historical project costs and ratesAssist with tender submissions, clarifications and commercial reviewsMaintain accurate estimating records, databases and pricing informationSupport the wider Bid and Pre Contracts team throughout the tender processAbout YouWe are looking for an experienced Estimator with a strong background in electrical distribution, powerlines, utilities, infrastructure or construction.Demonstrated experience estimating distribution line or electrical infrastructure projectsStrong knowledge of overhead and/or underground distribution networksExperience preparing detailed estimates, quantity take offs and tender pricingAbility to interpret electrical drawings, specifications and scopes of workStrong understanding of labour, materials, plant and subcontractor costsExperience obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotationsStrong commercial awareness and understanding of project risksExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to manage multiple tenders and competing deadlinesStrong Microsoft Excel skills and experience using estimating or project management systemsExperience working on Western Power, utility, transmission or distribution projects will be highly regarded.Why Join Genus?
