Project Delivery Lead Cyber Security Uplift ProgramDuration: Contract until June **** + ExtensionsLocation: Sydney or Melbourne preferredRate: $1,000 + Super dailyImmediate start required.A major organisation operating within a highly regulated and critical infrastructure environment is seeking an experienced Project Delivery Lead to drive a significant Essential 8 cyber security uplift program.Importantly, this role will be responsible for taking a complex portfolio of security initiatives from mobilisation and business case development through to implementation, governance, operational readiness and transition into BAU.
This is an opportunity for a hands-on, delivery-focused senior project/program leader who is comfortable operating in complex environments and able to start making an immediate impact.The RoleAn initial priority will be establishing delivery foundations, confirming scope, assessing dependencies and translating a prioritised uplift backlog into an integrated and achievable delivery roadmap.You will lead the development of a compelling business case to secure funding and executive approval, before taking ownership of end-to-end delivery across the program.Responsibilities will include:Leading program mobilisation and delivery planningDeveloping business cases, funding submissions and delivery optionsManaging integrated schedules, milestones, risks and dependenciesOverseeing budgets, forecasts and change control processesDriving governance, reporting and executive communicationsCoordinating internal teams, vendors and delivery partnersMaintaining delivery discipline across multiple concurrent workstreamsSupporting senior leadership and governance forums with transparent,



concise reportingAbout YouYou will bring proven experience leading complex Essential 8 cyber security programs, preferably within large, highly regulated, critical infrastructure enterprise environments.We are particularly interested in professionals who have successfully:Hands-on experience driving Essential Eight Maturity Level 2 uplift programs within complex enterprise-critical infrastructure environments.Mobilised large cyber security programs from the ground upDeveloped and secured approval for significant business cases or investment initiativesLed delivery through implementation and operational transitionManaged multiple workstreams, stakeholders and delivery partnersOperated within strong governance and regulatory environmentsRequired ExperienceEssential Eight maturity uplift program delivery experienceSecurity compliance or cyber resilience initiativesCritical infrastructure, telecommunications, utilities, transport or government environmentsSecurity of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI), ISM or equivalent regulatory frameworksVendor and commercial management experiencePMP, PRINCE2, Agile or related certificationsWhat's ImportantThe successful candidate will be a self-starter who can quickly establish credibility, operate autonomously and work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
