Accounts Officer - Banking & Reconciliations
3-6 Month Contract | Nedlands Location | Flexible Start & Finish TimesAn opportunity has become available for an experienced Accounts Officer to join a large and well-regarded organisation based in Nedlands on an initial 3-6 month contract.
Working within a collaborative finance team, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate processing and reconciliation of banking transactions while supporting a range of corporate finance functions.This role would suit a finance professional who enjoys working in a high-volume environment, has robust reconciliation experience, and is confident building relationships with stakeholders across the wider business.
Your New Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Completion of daily bank reconciliations and transaction matching
Liaising with Accounts Receivable and various business units to resolve reconciliation discrepancies
Processing daily bank transaction journals and associated month-end journals
Performing Oracle General Ledger reconciliations for bank-related transactions
Working closely with internal stakeholders, payroll teams, and shared services functions regarding banking and payroll-related transactions
Assisting with P-Card transactions and reconciliations
Providing support to broader corporate reporting activities




Contributing to month-end processes and maintaining accurate financial records
What You'll Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in an Accounts Officer, Finance Officer or Assistant Accountant position
Strong bank reconciliation experience, ideally within a medium to large organisation
Experience processing journals and supporting month-end activities
Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a high-volume environment
Experience using large ERP systems, with Oracle experience highly regarded
Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with stakeholders across the business
CA or CPA studies/qualifications will be viewed favourably but are not essential
