About the role:Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you'll take ownership of accounting for a portfolio of businesses within the group, with responsibility for month-end close, balance sheet integrity and management reporting.
You'll also contribute to broader group finance activities, cross-train across other businesses in the group, and provide support and coverage where needed.This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced accountant who enjoys owning the full accounting cycle and working across a diverse group of businesses.Key Responsibilities:Take primary accounting ownership for your allocated business(es)Own month-end close, management reporting and balance sheet integrityWork closely with transactional colleagues to oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and payrollPrepare budgets and forecastsOwn business-level tax compliance, including BAS, FBT and payroll taxCoordinate audit requirements,



including supporting schedules and audit requestsMaintain solid financial controls and meet group reporting requirementsAnalyse financial results and provide clear commentary on performanceSupport working capital management - inventory, receivables, payables and cash flowIdentify and implement improvements across finance processes and systemsCross-train across other businesses in the group to provide coverage and supportWork collaboratively as part of a broader finance teamWhat We Are Looking For:CA/CPA qualified, or working towards completionStrong financial and management accounting experienceExperience managing month-end and balance sheet processesSound knowledge of Australian tax and compliance requirementsExperience with budgeting and forecastingStrong Excel and accounting systems capabilityExcellent attention to detail and a commitment to accurate, timely reportingA collaborative approach and willingness to support the wider finance teamA proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
