This role is responsible for assessing, structuring and recommending mortgage and development loan applications in accordance with internal credit policy and risk appetite.
You will work closely with brokers, borrowers, valuers, solicitors and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient deal flow from initial enquiry through to formal approval.ResponsibilitiesAssess residential, bridging and development loan applications (up to $20M)Analyse financial statements,



servicing position and borrower capacityReview and interpret valuation reports and supporting documentationAssess security position, LVR, exit strategy and overall transaction riskPrepare clear and concise credit submissions and recommendationsLiaise with brokers, borrowers and skilled advisors throughout the application processEnsure compliance with internal credit policy and lending parametersManage workflow, inbox and application pipeline efficientlySupport continuous improvement of credit processes and documentation standardsQualificationsMinimum 1+ years' experience in credit assessment (bank or non-bank preferred)Required SkillsStrong understanding of mortgage lending fundamentalsSound analytical and risk assessment capabilityHigh attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple applications simultaneouslyProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a teamPreferred SkillsExperience in development or construction financeExposure to non-bank or private lending environmentsUnderstanding of short-term lending products
