Fitter & Machinist – 3rd/4th year apprenticeOptimized Ortho Pty Ltd, part of the Corin Group of Companies, is seeking a motivated and positive Fitter & Machinist Apprentice to join the Machine Workshop based in Pymble, Sydney.
In this role you will complete your formal trade qualification (Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade) while learning the requirements of the medical device industry.
The Machine workshop performs repairs, reworks and refurbishment of surgical instruments used in Total Hip & Knee replacement surgery.Key responsibilitiesPrecision machining, learning to set up and operate conventional vertical mill, centre lathe, grinder etc.Perform service and repair of surgical instruments, as directedAdhere to relevant quality procedures and record keeping requirements in accordance with the company's quality management systemAssist with routine maintenance and calibration of workshop tools, adhering strictly to ISO ***** and Good Manufacturing PracticesPerform good inwards receipt process for instruments and raw materialsQuality inspections using measuring tools (micrometers, callipers)
