We're partnering with an established underground coal mining business seeking experienced Mine Deputies for opportunities across two of its western NSW operations.
With roles available across both operations, roster options include lifestyle friendly 3 x 12-hour rosters across weekday and weekend crews, along with ********-hour Monday to Thursday rosters.
Reporting to the Shift Undermanager, you will lead an underground production crew while maintaining a strong focus on safety, statutory compliance and operational performance.
What You'll Be Doing:
Performing the statutory responsibilities of a Mine DeputyLeading, coaching and supporting underground production crewsCompleting statutory inspections and monitoring conditions within your areaLeading start-of-shift meetings and promoting hazard awarenessImplementing daily production and maintenance plansMonitoring compliance with permits, procedures and site safety systemsIdentifying and addressing safety and operational issuesSupporting incident investigations and reportingWorking with Undermanagers to achieve production and cost targetsPreparing clear and accurate end-of-shift reports
What We're Looking For:
Certificate IV in Underground Coal OperationsCurrent Practising CertificateAt least 3 years underground coal mining experienceStrong knowledge of statutory and safety requirementsConfident leadership,



communication and decision-making skillsAbility to plan effectively and respond to changing operational priorities
Previous team leadership experience, safety investigation experience and qualifications in Leadership and Management or Training and Assessment will be highly regarded.
