This opportunity will see you providing all aspects of both administrative and paralegal support to a leading Family Law Partner who is also the Head of the Family Law team.
This is hands-on role where you'll be given exposure to sophisticated Private Client matters and the opportunity to become an integral part of a busy practice.The Work The matters here are anything but one-dimensional.
You'll gain exposure to a fascinating mix of Family Law work for high and ultra-high-net-worth private clients, including:Hague Convention mattersSurrogacy mattersComplex property and financial settlementsMatters involving substantial family businesses and asset structuresComplex parenting disputesMore Than Traditional LA Support Your responsibilities will include:Liaising with clients and external stakeholders with professionalismPreparing Costs Agreements and onboarding documentationPreparing Briefs to Counsel and Court documentsManaging diaries,



appointments and key deadlinesDocument and file managementConducting conflict and AML searchesE-billing and general financial administrationLiaising with clients and other stakeholders throughout mattersYou'll be trusted to use your initiative, understand what's happening across files and help keep matters progressing, rather than simply waiting for administrative tasks to land on your desk.About YouYou'll bring at least 2 years' experience as a Legal Assistant specifically supporting in a Family Law practice, and an understanding of the unique demands that come with working with clients through highly personal and sensitive matters.Experience with Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia procedures and documentation will be important, together with strong organisation, communication and document management skills.You'll also be proactive, emotionally intelligent and comfortable communicating directly with clients.For an experienced Family Law Legal Assistant or Paralegal who wants greater involvement, more interesting matters and a genuine next step, this is an chance that offers considerably more than traditional legal support.Additional informationComplex HNW & international Family LawGenuine hands-on paralegal responsibilitiesWork closely with a leading Family Law Partner
