This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take ownership across general accounting, payroll and finance administration within a supportive team environment.If you enjoy a varied finance role, have strong attention to detail and are confident managing month-end processes, payroll and reconciliations, we'd love to hear from you.The RoleComplete month-end journals including prepayments, accruals and intercompany rechargesMaintain the fixed asset register, including monthly reconciliations and depreciation journalsEnd to end Payroll for up to 100+ employeesPrepare, lodge and process monthly payroll tax and annual returnsPrepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation packsManage credit card reconciliations and staff expense claimsProvide support across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functionsPrepare monthly timesheet summaries and wages allocationsProcess monthly payroll and lodge monthly superannuation contributionsMaintain accurate employee payroll recordsComplete end-of-year payroll reconciliations and reportingProvide reception and general administrative support as requiredAssist with the continuous improvement of finance procedures, systems and processesSupport the wider team with ad hoc finance and administrative dutiesAbout YouPrevious experience in a general accounting or Finance Officer positionExperience across month-end, reconciliations and general accounting processesPrevious payroll experience, ideally with exposure to end-to-end payroll processesStrong Microsoft Office skills, including intermediate ExcelHigh level of accuracy, numeracy and attention to detailExcellent organisational and time management skillsAbility to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a teamA proactive approach with a willingness to learn and take initiativeStrong customer service skills and a professional approachWhat's on OfferVaried Finance Officer position across accounting, payroll and administrationOpportunity to take ownership across a broad range of finance functionsSupportive and cooperative working environmentStable and well-established organisationOpportunity to contribute to process and system improvements
