AIN / Support Worker – Community Aged CareThe Hub Medical Centre and Huntley HomeCare – Burpengary QLDHuntley Home Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Aged & Disability Support Worker to join our community aged care team.
This is a casual position based in Burpengary, Queensland, offering flexibility whilst making a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults and people with disabilities within our local community.Key responsibilitiesProviding personal care assistance including help with bathing, dressing, grooming and toiletingSupporting clients with activities of daily living and household tasks such as meal preparation and light cleaningAssisting with medication reminders and ensuring clients take medications as prescribedProviding companionship and social engagement to promote emotional wellbeingHelping clients with mobility, transferring and using mobility aids safelyMaintaining detailed and accurate care notes and reporting any changes in client condition to supervisorsRespecting client privacy, dignity and individual preferences at all timesBuilding positive relationships with clients, families and other members of the care teamAdhering to all health and safety protocols, including infection control and manual handling proceduresSupporting clients to participate in community activities and social outings as appropriateWhat we're looking forA genuine passion for working with older people and individuals with disabilities, demonstrating empathy and patience in all interactionsCurrent or willingness to obtain a Certificate III in Aged Care or Certificate III in Disability Support,



or equivalent qualificationCurrent First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain these qualificationsA valid Working with Children check and/or Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)A clean drivers licence and access to reliable transport to travel between client locationsStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen actively and respond with compassionPhysical capability to perform manual care tasks and mobility assistance safelyReliability, punctuality and the ability to manage a flexible work schedule as required in a casual roleCommitment to maintaining client confidentiality and upholding professional boundariesAbility to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a wider care teamExcellent personal hygiene standards and commitment to health and safety best practiceWhat we offerHuntley Home Care, we are committed to supporting the wellbeing and professional development of our team members.
