You'll manage an existing customer base, build on those relationships and look for opportunities to increase sales, while also bringing new customers into the business.You'll spend your time meeting builders, contractors, trade customers and other construction industry professionals, understanding what they need and helping them find the right products for their projects.This is a hands-on sales role for someone who enjoys getting out on the road, meeting customers and taking responsibility for their results.




You'll have an established business behind you and the opportunity to grow your accounts while developing new business across Queensland.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and grow relationships with existing customersIdentify and secure new business across QueenslandVisit customers regularly to understand their needs and identify opportunitiesBuild relationships with builders, contractors and trade customersProspect for current customers and develop sales opportunitiesConduct face-to-face meetings and site visitsPrepare quotes, negotiate pricing and follow up opportunitiesRecommend suitable products based on customer requirementsManage your sales pipeline and work towards agreed targetsWork with internal sales, operations and delivery teams to meet customer needsResolve customer issues and follow through to a solutionKeep up to date with local market activity and competitor movementsRole RequirementsPrevious experience in account management, business development or external salesExperience in building materials, construction supply or a related industry is preferredStrong communication and relationship-building skillsConfidence dealing with builders, contractors and trade customersThe ability to look after existing accounts while winning new businessA proactive approach to prospecting and growing salesGood commercial awareness, including pricing and marginsStrong organisation and time management skillsThe ability to manage your own workload and customer portfolioA current driver's licenceSalary and BenefitsBase $100k - $110k + Car + Bonus + Super 12%
