About the role
Whilst the Star Drilling is based in Thomastown, this role will work in Orange NSW with a very small amount of time working across a diverse range of geotechnical and environmental drilling projects throughout Victoria and interstate.
Star Drilling operates a fleet of 18 drilling rigs,



ranging from large sonic rigs through to smaller Geoprobes.
Our work gives experienced drillers the opportunity to use and develop their skills across a range of drilling methods, including:
Sonic drilling
Auger drilling
Rotary air
Rotary Mud
This is not a full time FIFO position.
About you
We're looking for an experienced driller who takes pride in doing the job properly, works well with their crew and wants to be part of a professional drilling business.
Ideally, you will have:
3+ years' above-ground geotechnical and/or environmental drilling experience
A minimum MR licence, with an HR manual licence strongly preferred
Construction Industry Induction Card
Driller's or Water Well Licence preferred, or willingness to obtain one
Rail Industry Worker Card preferred
Good mechanical aptitude and the ability to undertake basic preventative maintenance and servicing
A strong commitment to safety and safe drilling practices
The physical fitness required for drilling operations
A positive, practical and proactive approach
Flexibility to undertake regular overtime and some weekend work
Flexibility to work interstate approximately 50% of the time
Australian working rights
