Brisbane
This is a long-established, values-led not-for-profit with a name most Brisbane people know.
Over the last year it has brought in current finance leadership and rebuilt the function from the ground up.
Generalist roles have made way for specialist streams, executives now work off live dashboards, and a central data warehouse and dedicated analytics team sit alongside finance.
This is a finance team in the middle of real change, not one maintaining the status quo.The mandate is simple.
The business wants finance to stop being a spreadsheet-and-journal function and start being the team that explains what the numbers mean.
That means less manual rework, reporting the business can trust, and accountants with the time to add insight.
This role exists to drive that shift on the reporting side.It suits an accountant who wants to add data and automation skills to a solid technical base, in an organisation where the work has a purpose beyond profit. The OpportunityThe Finance Business Analyst is a new role created through the restructure, reporting to the Lead Financial Accountant.
It sits between finance and the data team, and exists to produce three things: reliable cash flow reporting, accurate regulatory and internal reporting, and a steady flow of manual processes turned into automated ones. The way you'll work is specific.
You'll build and prove the logic in Excel, hand it to the data team, then test what comes back against your own numbers.
If you want to be a pure business partner sitting with operational leaders, or a BI developer writing code all day, this isn't the role.
It suits someone who enjoys being the bridge between the accounting and the data. What You'll DoMost of your time will split between recurring reporting and improvement work, with month-end and audit support running through the cycle.Prepare weekly, monthly and rolling cash flow reports,
