Join the Water Operations Branch at Toowoomba Regional Council and help deliver safe, reliable water and wastewater services across the southern region.About the RoleAs a Water & Wastewater Operator, you will monitor, control and operate water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, recycling facilities and associated infrastructure to ensure compliance with legislative, environmental and operational standards.This hands‐on role also supports infrastructure maintenance activities and participates in the after-hours/on-call roster.What You'll Be DoingOperating and monitoring water and wastewater treatment infrastructureMaintaining compliance with statutory and environmental requirementsSupporting Drinking Water Quality Management Plans and quality systemsCoordinating sampling and plant monitoring activitiesAssisting with maintenance coordination and contractor supervisionResponding to SCADA alarms and after-hours operational issuesWorking safely and contributing to a strong team cultureAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:Certificate III in Water and/or Wastewater Operations or the ability to obtain within 3 monthsRelevant industry experience operating treatment plants and associated infrastructureExperience with automated operational systems and process controlStrong problem-solving,
