Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant for flexible treatment room sessions across primary care services in Hay on Wye.
This role is ideal for HCAs confident in performing routine clinical tasks within structured GP clinic environments, providing hands‐on support to nursing and clinical teams.
You will assist with day‐to‐day treatment room duties, essential observations and routine procedures, ensuring smooth patient flow and consistent clinical support across the service.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out routine clinical observations including BP,



pulse and temperatureSupporting treatment room procedures such as wound care and dressingsPerforming ECGs and basic health checksAssisting with phlebotomy if trainedUpdating digital patient records in line with service protocolsSupporting clinicians with general duties where neededMaintaining a clean and safe clinical environment
Requirements
Previous HCA experience in primary care or NHS clinical settingsConfident performing routine clinical observationsPhlebotomy experience desirableStrong communication and patient interaction skillsAbility to adapt quickly to different clinic environmentsEnhanced DBS
