Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton are seeking applications from Enrolled Nurses to join our team. The successful candidates will secure
a position within our Casual Pool.
To be eligible for our casual pool we
require flexibility to work across various wards
. We are looking for nurses who can
work ideally 1-2 shifts a fortnight minimum, including mornings, afternoons and nights.
You will have the opportunity to work across a variety of areas including surgical, medical, close observation, day surgery, women's , rehab, oncology, palliative and ED.
Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton has been supporting the health of people living in and around Rockhampton for more than a century. Our heritage-listed Kenmore building was purchased by the Sisters of Mercy in **** and opened as the first Mater Hospital in Central Queensland. Today, our 136-bed facility features five operating theatres, a private emergency service and a wide range of specialised clinical services.
Salary range: $***** - $***** per hour plus 25% casual loading plus superannuation and
access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900

What you'll be doing
As an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse, you will provide patient-centred nursing care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse on duty. Whilst displaying the highest level of clinical standards for the unit you will be responsible for:
Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care




Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care
Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
About you
Current AHPRA nursing registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)
Happy to join GRAD Study days if a newly graduated nurse
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels
Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and strong listening, negotiation and decision‐making skills
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Commitment to ensuring the levels of service is delivered to patients at all times
