About Food Solutions
Food Solutions Diet Consultants is a leading national provider of Dietetics and Speech Pathology services to residential aged care and community clients. Since ****, we have delivered evidence based care that supports nutrition, hydration, communication and swallowing safety.
Our Speech Pathologists and Dietitians work closely together, combining their expertise to improve residents' care and mealtime experiences.
A role shaped around you
We are seeking a Speech Pathologist to support residential aged care homes across Melbourne.
Whether you enjoy hands on clinical work, have a passion for foodservice and improving mealtimes, or are ready to bring your experience to a Clinical Lead position, we would love to hear from you.
We can tailor the role to your experience, strengths and interests:
Clinical practice:
Focus on assessing and managing swallowing and communication needs, supporting residents and families, and working with care teams to put practical recommendations into place.
Foodservice:
Combine clinical practice with opportunities to support texture modified meals, mealtime reviews, foodservice initiatives and staff education, working closely with our Dietitians and foodservice team. An interest in this area is welcome,



even if you are still developing your experience.
Clinical leadership:
For an appropriately experienced Speech Pathologist, the role may include supporting and mentoring clinicians, providing clinical guidance and contributing to service development.
Leadership experience and a foodservice focus are optional. We equally welcome applicants who would like to focus on providing excellent clinical care.
Part time hours are available, with the potential for a full time position incorporating foodservice or senior responsibilities.
You will report to our National Speech Pathology Manager and have flexibility to organise your schedule around agreed service requirements, with no weekend work.

About you
You care about the wellbeing and quality of life of older Australians and enjoy building positive relationships with residents, families and care teams.
You bring:
Experience in dysphagia and adult communication, or enthusiasm to develop these skills with support.
Clear communication and a practical, team-oriented approach to care.
Good organisation and the ability to manage your caseload and documentation.
Confidence working independently, with a willingness to seek guidance and share knowledge.
If you are interested in Clinical Lead responsibilities, we would also welcome experience in mentoring, supervision or clinical leadership.
New graduates are welcome
You do not need to have your career pathway mapped out to apply. We provide structured induction, shadowing with experienced Speech Pathologists, ongoing supervision and a gradual increase in caseload to help you build confidence.
A tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology.
Certified Practising Membership of Speech Pathology Australia, or eligibility.
A current driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
A commitment to ongoing professional development and quality care.
