What You'll Be Doing
Conduct mandatory gas safety checks in residential rental properties
Inspect gas installations and appliances in accordance with relevant legislation and standards
Complete required gas safety testing and assessment
Test gas appliances and installations for secure operation
Inspect gas pipework, connections, isolation points, appliances, flues and associated components
Identify gas leaks, hazards, defects and non-compliant installations
Complete required testing using calibrated gas detection and testing equipment




Conduct Minimum Standards checks and assess properties against applicable rental property requirements
Accurately document inspection findings and compliance outcomes
Capture photographic evidence where required
Complete electronic reports onsite using company-provided devices
Clearly document defects, safety concerns and recommendations
Communicate professionally with tenants, property managers and rental providers
Manage a daily schedule of inspections across multiple properties
Maintain accurate records and submit reports within required timeframes
Escalate urgent safety concerns in accordance with company procedures
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced Registered Gas Plumber who is thorough, safety-focused and confident working independently.
Essential
Registered Gas Plumber
Valid Driver's Licence
Strong residential gas experience
Strong understanding of relevant Australian Standards and Victorian gas safety requirements
Strong knowledge of gas appliances and installations
Confident using gas testing and detection equipment
Strong attention to detail
Excellent reporting and documentation skills
Comfortable using digital devices and reporting software
Strong communication and customer service skills




Ability to work independently and manage a daily inspection schedule
Highly Desirable
Previous experience conducting gas safety checks
Experience working within the real estate/property industry
Experience working across residential rental properties
Experience conducting Minimum Standards assessments
Experience with ServiceM8 or similar field-service software
Experience with a range of domestic gas appliances
Strong fault-finding skills
CPR / First Aid
