Tender Pricing / Commercial Analyst | 3-Month Contract
We're recruiting aCommercial / Tender Pricing Analysts to support a major national organisation through a busy tender period.
This hands-on commercial role is suited to analysts who enjoy getting into the detail of pricing, costing and P&L; modelling, working closely with commercial, sales and operational teams.
You'll work across multiple live tenders, analysing large volumes of operational data across different products and services and ensuring the underlying cost and revenue assumptions translate accurately into the overall tender P&L.;
What you'll be doing
Working across approximately three tenders at different stages
Reviewing pricing and cost models using established Excel templates
Analysing multiple product/service lines and their underlying economics
Modelling key cost drivers including labour, fleet, fuel, frequency, processing costs, subcontractors, capex and overheads
Reviewing pricing, margin and P&L; outputs
Identifying inconsistencies or assumptions that don't make commercial sense
Partnering with Commercial Finance, Sales/Business Development, Operations and tender teams
Working with large but relatively clean and structured datasets

What we're looking for You're likely to come from a Commercial Analyst, Pricing Analyst, Tender Analyst, Cost Analyst, Financial Analyst or commercially focused Management Accounting background.
You'll bring:
Solid commercial and analytical capability
Experience with pricing, costing, financial modelling or P&L; analysis
Confidence working with multiple products, services or cost drivers
Good practical Excel skills including pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP and INDEX/MATCH
Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to question and challenge assumptions
Ability to get up to speed quickly and work effectively in a fast-moving environment
Experience from multi-product or operational businesses such as transport/logistics, FMCG, manufacturing, facilities services, industrial services or infrastructure could translate well.
This role isonsite five days per week, either in inner city or Southeast Melbourne so please indicate your preferred location when applying.
Salary Guide: Circa $*****ph + Super commensurate with experience.
The opportunity This is a great short-term opportunity for commercially minded analysts who enjoy understanding how products and services actually make money, rather than purely producing financial reports.
The initial contracts are for three months, with an immediate start preferred.
