Business Development Manager - Leadership opportunity

Key Responsibilities
Oversee regional operations in Melbourne and Victoria, ensuring flawless project delivery and excellent client service
Develop and implement strategic initiatives to grow the market share, expand relationships, and increase brand presence within the state
Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales and project professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and initiative
Proactively engaging with architects, interior designers, and key decision makers and contributing to the sales pipeline
Manage individual and state budgets, pricing strategies, and team resource allocation
Collaborate with marketing,



operations and product teams to ensure seamless delivery of client solutions and exceptional customer experience
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and networking functions to elevate brand presence and generate leads
Keep up to date with market trends, new product developments, and competitor activity to position the company as a leader in its sector
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in mentoring junior team members or acting in a leadership capacity (highly regarded)
Proven sales success in interior products, furniture, flooring or related sector and robust relationships within the Architecture and Design sector
Demonstrated experience pro-actively building current relationships and contributing to team and individual KPIs
Excellent leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate a team to achieve and exceed targets
Deep understanding of Interior Design and Architecture and a finger on the pulse of market trends, upcoming projects and strategic opportunities
Strong commercial acumen, with experience in budgeting, pricing, and deal negotiation
A design-led environment that prioritises craftsmanship and innovation
Defined promotion and growth pathways, beyond sales targets
