CDH Contracting is expanding into residential fencing, earthworks and property improvements, and we're looking for a capable Welder / Metal Fabricator to join the team. We want someone who takes pride in their work, can think on their feet and is keen to be part of a growing local business.
Key responsibilities
Welding and repairing gates, steel fencing, posts, brackets and other metal components
Fabricating and modifying steelwork to suit job requirements
Supporting rural and residential fencing installations
Repairing machinery attachments, trailers and equipment where suitably qualified and authorised
Reading measurements, plans and job specifications
Maintaining a protected, organised work area and looking after tools and equipment
About you
Welding and fabrication experience
Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
Good attention to detail and a strong safety mindset




Reliable transport and a current driver licence
Ability to interpret measurements and basic fabrication drawings
Experience with MIG, TIG, stick welding or heavy steelwork is an advantage, depending on the work you're confident performing
Above-award pay, based on experience and capability
